Shri Rameshwaram Jyotirlinga, located in the Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu, South India, is the eleventh among the twelve Jyotirlingas and one of the “Char Dham” pilgrimage sites for Hindus. “sutāmraparṇī-jala-rāśi-yoge
nibadhya setuṁ viśikhairasaṅkhyaihi ।
shrīrāmacandrena samarpitaṁ taṁ
rāmeśvarākhyaṁ niyataṁ namāmi ॥”Translation: “I bow with devotion to Rameshwar, established by Lord Rama himself at the confluence of the Tamraparni river and ocean, after building the bridge with countless arrows.”
