Right Direction For Temple In Home

Alok Astrology

Hindu homes are incomplete without ‘pooja ghar’. Also, it is believed that the temple in the house should be placed in a significant direction for god to visit their home.

Vastu for Pooja mandir

Pooja mandirs are becoming important in today’s world. So, in worshiping God, the puja mandir is built in the homes. They’ve also built a temple with further extension in a residential style. For a puja room, Vastu is required.

Right from choosing the right piece of land, to constructing the entrance, exits, washrooms, kitchen area, living room, bedrooms as well. You can also consult a Vastu specialist for getting insights about the same.

Good Placements for pooja mandir:

In the house, office, and business locations, a pooja room with the idol direction of a deity or deities is kept. It is insufficient without proper Vastu Shastra.

  • According to Vastu, the Pooja Mandir should be placed in the home’s north-eastern/eastern corner. It also brings good fortune into your place.
  • In the pooja room, God should be facing in the west and devotees should be facing in the east.
  • The scale of the lord idols in a Puja Mantap should be comparable to the magnitude of the Mantap.
  • When performing pooja, the size of the mandir is not important.
  • The Deepak should be placed or lighted in the direction of the southeast.

A pooja room is an important feature of a household and an ideal place for worshiping the god. Using a rug or a pooja chowki, worshippers should maintain some level of isolation when worshiping and sitting in the pooja mandir.

A door threshold must be present at the pooja room’s entrance.

Placements that should be avoided:

The Pooja Temple should not be facing in the south.

  • The pooja temple should not be in any way near the toilet or washroom, whether it be on the ground, above, or below.
  • It should not be situated in the bedroom or the kitchen. If space is limited, you can raise the mandir and cover it with a drape or door to keep the deities or photo frames out of direct view.
  • Inside the puja Mandap, don’t put any inherited photographs. According to Vastu, it is deemed unlucky.
  • Damaged idols should not be kept within the temple / Mandir. Also, hefty idols or frames should not be kept because they will weaken the wooden mandir.

Good facing for pooja mandir:

  • The sculptures, like the mandir, should preferably face in the east or in the northeast to embrace the rising force of the sun.
  • The deities should be placed facing the West as in the second-best direction.
  • The final but less ideal direction is north, which, as they say, has enormous energy that the families cannot easily contain.
  • So under circumstances should idols be placed facing south, as this drains the house’s beneficial energy.

Things that should be eliminated from the pooja mandir:

The pooja room in a home is a space filled with pleasant energies, thus it’s important to be selective about what you maintain and eliminate.

  • The very first restriction is that disfigured deities should never be kept in the pooja room.

  • Maintain the puja room regularly, tossing out old flowers, burning incense, or anything else that can pollute the pooja mandir.

  • If you have got a wall-mounted pooja mandir due to a lack of space, make sure it is out of range of toddlers and only set deities whose weight the mandir can support.

Conclusion:

For Hindu families, everything depends on their work-ship and their worship. It is that God helps those who help themselves. Also, god visits our home, if we’ve positioned the pooja temple in the right direction. Directions are important in every aspect of life while choosing the right life map.
